Crucible Industries - the CPM in CPM steels - is responsible for our favorite and well-known powdered knife steels (as well as plenty of other steels). They are facing a possible closure if the company doesn't pay back a hefty debt.
What does this mean for MagnaCut, S35VN, and countless other knife steels we've come to love and enjoy? What does that mean for the knife industry in general?
In short: it's not a flip of a switch if this does happen.
