Our shipping master Robyn also has a hefty dose of DIY, and she custom makes these scales through dye sublimation. G10 scales are popular for knives because they are a lightweight, durable material that's resistant to wear. G10 is a composite material made from fiberglass sheets and epoxy resin that are pressed together, heated, dried, then sublimated with our sweet designs. Sublimation is a process of binding special ink directly into scale material. Each design will vary slightly. Eventually they will wear, but that's just part of the badge of honor of a well-used knife.
